After almost 2 years of intensive work, the Scribus Team is proud to announce the release of Scribus 1.3.5. This release is a major development version on the road to milestone 1.4, which will be based on 1.3.5.

Scribus 1.3.5 Release Candidate 3 Available

The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the third release candidate of Scribus 1.3.5 (1.3.5.RC3)

This release adds the following over the previous release candidate:

  • Fixes to the story editor
  • Some PDF/CJK export fixes
  • Scripter and Image Frame fixes
  • Import/export plugins for text and image frames updated

Book Created With Scribus Wins Belgian Design Award

Our dear friends at OSP in Brussels have won the 2009 Plantin Moretus Award for the best-designed Belgian book in the category non-fiction: Liesbeth Huybrechts, CrossOver: Kunst, media en technologie in Vlaanderen, Gent 2009.

Scribus 1.3.5 Release Candidate 2 Available

The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the second release candidate of
Scribus 1.3.5 (1.3.5.RC2)

This release adds the following over the previous release candidate:
* A major update for decimal handling relating to spinboxes and changing
locales
* New documentation: Quick Start Guide from the official Scribus Manual
(under "Scribus Basics" in the Help Browser), and Render Frames
documentation
* Updates to render frame filesystem handling
* Some PDF/CJK export, line snapping updates and other miscellaneous
fixes

Louisville, KY leads world in book-signings 2-0

Today I had my second book-signing here Louisville, when I sold a book to a friend and signed it right on the spot. Ok, world, time to catch up!
And yes, there will be an opportunity at LGM 2009, where books will be available for purchase, AND I will be highly available for personalized book signing. Hope to see all you Scribus enthusiasts there!
